Mimicly is an iPhone app and web editor for making fictional chat mockups and text story videos.

Mimicly is an iPhone app and web editor for making fictional chat mockups and text story videos. People pick a template styled after a messaging app, an AI chat, a social post, a comment thread, a story, an email or a game chat, write both sides of the conversation, and change the names, photos and times. The result is saved as an image, or recorded as an MP4 for supported chat and AI templates. The videos are meant for text stories on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or for inserts in films, lessons and demos. Mimicly doesn’t send messages or generate AI answers, and every scene is a fictional mockup written by its user. It is made by Ata Tunc Bilge, an independent developer in Türkiye, and has been on the App Store since 1 July 2026.

It doesn’t send messages or connect to anyone’s accounts.
