About Mimicly
Mimicly is an iPhone app and web editor for making fictional chat mockups and text story videos.
I’m Ata Tunc Bilge, and I make Mimicly on my own from Türkiye. That covers the templates, the iPhone app, this website and the support inbox, so if you write in, I’m the one who answers.

How it got here
- I started with the web editor: pick a chat template, write both sides, save a picture.
- The iPhone app went live on the App Store.
- Version 1.0.4 brought a redesigned home screen and 63 templates in all six app languages.
What it is
- A set of 63 templates in the iPhone app and 64 in the web editor, styled after messaging apps, AI chats, social posts, comments, stories, email and game chats.
- An editor where you write every message yourself and change names, photos, times and other details.
- A way to save the scene as a PNG or JPG, or record supported chat and AI conversations as an MP4 for text story videos.
- An app in 6 languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, German, Swiss German.
What it isn’t
- It isn’t a messaging service. It doesn’t send messages, sign in to other apps or read your chats.
- It doesn’t generate AI answers. In the AI chat templates you write the assistant’s lines too.
- It doesn’t add voice-overs or background footage. You do that in your own video editor.
- Every scene is a fictional mockup written by the person using it. Mimicly isn’t affiliated with the apps whose styles the templates follow.
How it’s paid for
Free to write and preview. Signing in gives three free exports shared between images and videos. Pro is a monthly plan or a one-time lifetime purchase; there is no weekly plan, and the price in your currency is shown before you buy. Current plans
