Lock screen notifications
iPhone Lock Screen Notification Mockup
A stack of notifications says a lot in one frame: who wrote, from which app and how long ago. Set the time, date and wallpaper, write each notification, pick the app it comes from, then save an image or record them landing one after another.
Updated

How to make it
- Open the Lock Screen template in the web editor or the Mimicly iPhone app.
- Replace the sample names, photos and text with your own.
- Adjust times, counts and appearance until the preview looks right.
- Export a PNG or JPG, or press Record to save the conversation as an MP4 (desktop Chrome or Edge on the web, or the iPhone app).
What you can edit
- Notifications from Messages, WhatsApp, Mail, Calendar and other apps
- Clock, date, wallpaper and sender photos
- Record the notifications arriving one by one
Good for
- Opening shots for text story videos
- Scenes where a character keeps ignoring their phone
- Reviewing notification wording for an app
On your iPhone
The Mimicly app has the same templates, saves your projects and records supported chats as MP4.
Scan with your iPhone camera to get the app.
Questions
Can I use my own wallpaper?
Yes. Upload any image as the wallpaper. Without one, the template uses a soft gradient.
Can I turn it into a video?
Yes. Press Preview to watch the messages appear one by one, then Record to save the conversation as an MP4. On the web, recording works in desktop Chrome or Edge; on a phone, use the Mimicly iPhone app. Use image export when you only need a still frame.
Is this template free?
You can open, edit and export it without paying or signing in. Exports without Pro carry a small “Made with Mimicly” watermark. Sign in for three clean exports shared across images and recordings, or choose Pro (monthly or a one-time lifetime purchase) for watermark-free exports, higher resolution and share links.
Is Mimicly connected to Apple?
No. Mimicly is an independent editor. It does not sign in to Apple, send messages or read your account. Everything in the scene is written by you; use it for fictional scenes, examples and storyboards.
